Masterclass in Childism May 2026
OBJECTIVES
Tuesday
May 13, 2025
This online course provides an opportunity for early career doctoral students, as well as post-docs, faculty members, and other interested parties, to develop an in-depth understanding of the critical theory of childism.
Organized by the Childism Institute and key scholars in childist research, it explores what it means to empower children by transforming norms and structures in societies. The three central modules examine the theoretical concept of childism, how it relates to other critical theories such as feminism and decolonialism, and what it might look like in practice, research, and activism.
This free course provides participants the chance to interact with established chlidist scholars from around the world, network with other researchers in a diversity of academic programs, and develop new perspectives on their own projects. No prior experience in childism is required.
